I got through my half a bottle of apple cider vinegar water yesterday in hopes that it will help me avoid antibiotics for the sinus infection I'm sporting in the left side of my head. Once I got used to ignoring the taste, it was bearable and I honestly think I could have finished the full bottle for a double dose. I might try that today because I'm impatient by nature and I want to be well yesterday.
I think the sinusitis pain was a little less today than yesterday, especially when I first woke up. I actually wasn't hurting much at all, though definitely a lot of pressure and some mild achy-ness in my cheekbone and upper teeth. After showering and brushing my teeth it was worse, but when I started sipping the vinegar water the pain faded again. However, I promptly stopped so I could drink coffee - my very favorite consumable indulgence - and I'm back to post-teeth-brushing pain/pressure levels. There does seem to be a correlation between heat and pain level for me. I'm hoping once I finish this third cup of coffee and switch back to the apple cider vinegar, things will improve. It's been an up-and-down morning.
That said - I haven't taken any ibuprofen or anti-mucus medicine this morning and am doing okay. Yesterday, by the time I started the vinegar I had already had two pain pills and a mucus pill, plus a steam breathing session and was about at the same level I am today with none of those things. Is it the water or the normal ebb and flow of my never-ending sinusitis problems? I'm not sure but I'm tentatively optimistic.
Preliminary results after one day: promising.
